301 and counting...
Apr. 28th, 2004 04:05 amI think my World Literature teacher needs to improve a bit on the way she handles assignments.
Don't get me wrong. I think my Lit teacher is cool. She does her tests online, which is always a bonus. But she does a lot of basic stuff online that she really could and should do in class. It feels like that when we're in the classroom, we're only getting half the class at any particular time. Also, if she lingers on any single piece of literature for any length of time, she starts having questions repeat themselves (as I mentioned in another thread).
She's also the only teacher I can think of that would give the class a second midterm right before the Finals.
Another somewhat-random observation... I've been playing some of my GBA games on my Game Boy Player hooked up to my GameCube (While I like GBA games, I generally prefer my video games on a bigger screen). One of said games has been Super Mario World Advance. Now, I like the cute feature of being able to play with Luigi instead of Mario in the various levels. But the feature stops being cute pretty quickly... while I can understand that Luigi has some benefits (he jumps 'slowly,' like he did back in Super Mario 2, and he can spit any monster back out with Yoshi), all of the levels were made with Mario's abilities in mind so most of the time Luigi's abilities make trickier areas awkward a bit. It kind of ruins the point.
Also, what the hell is this 'Miguzi' thing that Cartoon Network is doing? I haven't quite paid attention but it looks like it's a special Toonami-esque block for all of their anime-ripoff cartoons. It's the second-most-pathetic way to cash in after 'animanga'[1]. If anyone can enlighten me, though, feel free.
And now, I bring you entertainment...
From the inventor of the badger...
Some Korean Flash-animation music video or something that I stumbled onto one day. But it's got kitties and bunnies, so it's all good.
And... I'm spent.
[1]-- For those who haven't seen this monstrosity, 'animanga' is when a manga publisher will actually 'create' a pseudo-manga series by just taking stills from the anime and adding speech balloons to it. There was a time when Nintendo Power used to do this for Pokémon.
