Question for the furs that read this journal...

On Friday, at one point, I wound up in one of the local comic stores that I don't generally frequent simply because there are places where I prefer to take my business first for some reason or another. Well, this place carries a couple of Furry comics (Furrlough, Usagi Yojimbo, and I think Shanda and/or Extinctioners), but the owner would like to expand his selection of Furry comics. He asked me while I was in there, simply because he knows I'm a Fur)

However, his dilemma is that of every comic book store owner who's wanted to carry Furry stuff... while he doesn't mind special-ordering the more yiffy stuff (Genus, for example), he'd like to get more books that he can actually put on the shelf without getting any shit from customers over it.

I did some thinking when he asked me, and for the life of me I couldn't really come up with much. I said I thought that Katmandu might be safe, and I mentioned that at some point possibly later this year Jim Hardiman might be coming out with Caterwaul. At the time, I'd forgotten that a new Albedo series is coming out as well, but I honestly don't know how that would go, content-wise.

So can anyone offer any suggestions I can pass along to the guy before I start doing my own digging?

If he wants to carry yiffy stuff, why can't he make a special section for 'em like they do with porn videos at a video store?

He really doesn't have the space to just set aside a special area for adult comics. And quite frankly, he shouldn't have to.

He should if he has kids as customers.

Well, he doesn't carry any adult comics as it is now. So why set up a special section for the 50 or so adult Furry comics out there? It's not like this store doesn't specifically sell Furry stuff. It's just a comic book store, and he likes to carry an anthro book or two here and there.

It's not 100% furry, but if he doesn't carry Gold Digger, he should. It's probably consistently the best comic book I've ever read, to be honest.

He gets Gold Digger, yeah.
