Hey there... finally getting around to updating.

I've learned that I'm in an English class with idiots. However, this is not a shock of any sort. The teacher put us into groups for an assignment, splitting the class into three groups-- 1 group of men, and 2 groups of women (an aspect of the assignment worked better divided up this way, as a way of differentiating answers from one gender from answers from the other. So yeah. Guys are sexist morons. I shall move on.

I got some decent writing done at the Book n Bean Tuesday night. A story idea that I got on a whim looks like it might make a pretty good novella (or, possibly, a novel-- not sure yet, but I think I could go with it for a while).

I've been playing the heck out of Sly Cooper 2, and I must say it's fantastic. Better than the first one. But I'm sure someone else on your Friends list has punched up a review, so I'll skip doing one of my own.

Tomorrow (or, I should say, later today), I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed. Joy.

Night Lair was cancelled due to weather (although anyone who showed up while the ST's showed up to tell people it was cancelled got experience points anyways to make up for it), so that's one LARP write-up that nobody has to not-read.

ToD started out with Legion's traditional Vaulderie (To be honest, I'm getting a little tired of the constant rituals ICly and OOCly. I wonder if Eric should have just given Krimson the 'Ritual Freak' Derangement so he could work it off through roleplay.), which had more meaning due to the fact that we have a new member who doesn't have Vinc ratings of 10 with the rest of us yet.

Afterwards, we wandered around and socialized. We didn't kill anyone or challenge anyone to monomacy. We got word, though, that Blade and Claw were headed to Moundsville (a city in WV that is the site of several Native American burial mounds) to investigate something involving the body of a disembodied vampire that's been in the area for centuries, if not longer. Everyone else was invited to tag along. As most of us know to take the treasure map from the guy at the tavern, almost all of Morgantown's Sabbat members came along.

We all piled in the RV that two of Blade and Claw's members stole last week and took to the highway. About half-way there, the driver swerved to hit a deer and flipped the RV a couple of times when it went off the road. Blade and Claw managed to pull over and swipe a truck big enough to fit them, leaving the rest of us to find our own transportation.

Someone came up with the brilliant idea to torch the RV to take care of any evidence and take the time to have a Fire Dance right there by the side of the road. And by 'someone,' I mean Krimson. I said I thought it was a bad idea, but he insisted. I tried it but failed the ritual test. Having failed to sanctify the bonfire, someone else decided to try their luck. As I commented to Pater Lorrey, a local Nosferatu, "I had to try or else they'd kill me." The second priest, Loki, couldn't quite pull it off, either. As I'm about to point out that this is a sign that Caine doesn't want us to do the Fire Dance at that time, a Tzimisce named Theodore stepped in and managed to properly bless the burning RV.

So we had our Fire Dance, during which I failed a couple of tests and got singed. Again, another sign that Caine didn't want this.

Afterwards, we wandered down the road a bit and managed to secure rides. And by 'secure,' I mean that Krimson and Nim dropped a Shroud of Night in the road and used Obtenebration tentacles to beat up the car and take care of the passengers. There was just enough space for Legion in the car, so we took off down the road. The other Cainites with us got their own car.

Now, you'd think that wrecking a huge RV, setting it ablaze, and stealing two cars on the highway would attract the attention of the police. Shock of shocks, it did. We had cops on our tail, and some other cop cars pulled ahead of us on the road to block us. We all handled the situation in our own way. Krimson started inflicting tentacles on cops, Freddie Obfuscated himself in the backseat, Nim set one of the cop cars on fire and the new guy, Jonny, had to take off due to Rotschreck. I'm not quite sure what the other Cainites did-- a new guy, a Pander, took off and decided to hitch a ride back to Morgantown. I don't know exactly what the other folks did, but it involved catching the attention of a couple of Garou.

Legion got the hell out of there and hauled ass back to Morgantown. Everyone else eventually made it to Moundsville, where Pater's pack took it upon themselves to swipe some stuff from the museum. To my understanding, Blade and Claw found something down a mine shaft and we're all going back down there to deal with it.

Also, at ToD things are gearing up for a vote on whether to add Hedge Mage as a venue. Now, just so folks know, we're using the 2nd Edition Laws of the Hunt Player's Guide because the Revised one's been banned (due to overpowered rules).

Does anybody have any experiences with adding Hedge Mage/Sorcerer to a multi-venue game (LARP or online in particular, but any crossover game including Hedge Magic is okay) that should be kept in mind?
