I hate driving in Pennsylvania
May. 8th, 2004 05:10 amI do. I really do.
I was in Pennsylvania on Thursday. A friend of mine,
rick2tails, was in Pittsburgh attending the comic convention last Sunday. Well, it just so happens that an artist named Matt Burt[1] was going to be there, and he owed me some artwork, so we hooked up. We hung out at the South Hills Village mall for about 8 hours (!), and then I drove Rick back to my place to show him around Fairmont for a little bit before hauling him back to his grandparents' place in Pittsburgh.
But I really do hate driving in Pennsylvania. It's not just Pittsburgh, and it's not just Philadelphia. But the moment you leave a major interstate, getting anywhere involves a complex series of turns through horribly-designed and even more horribly-marked streets. And if it isn't city streets or smaller highways, it's driving through rural areas considered desolate by West Virginia standards.
I had a good time briefly hanging out with Rick and Matt, though, and got plenty of Furry porn in the process. So it's all good.
Hung out with Sean yesterday (Friday). Got a fuzzy d10. And then I've got ToD later today. Woo-hoo.
[1]-- While he did take a while getting me my artwork, he's a damn good artist and a pretty cool guy. I plan on possibly hitting him up for a commission for my sketchbook at AnthroCon this summer.
