Proof that I'm still alive

Sorry I've been so quiet lately. Things have been mildly crazed and busy and the like.

Sometime tomorrow I'll be able to go out and get some estimates for getting some body work repaired on my car; a friend of my mom's is helping me, using his own experience to help me find someone who can do the work without screwing me over.

In unrelated news, the Helio is a fucking cell phone. No matter what they say.

Cor blimey, I taste like Tea. I am a subtle flavour, quiet and polite, gentle, almost ambient. My presence in crowds will often go unnoticed. Best not to spill me on your clothes though, I can leave a nasty stain. What Flavour Are You?

Some stuff I forgot to share, and a few random things

Thursday, I ran into an old friend of mine at the coffee shop where we play Mage,[0] Mark Grandstaff. He was exceedingly busy and I was running late, so we didn't get time to talk, but it's good to know he's still around. The last time I saw him was a few years ago at the mall, and I didn't get to talk to him then. He was talking on the phone, and I just kept an eye on where he was headed because he was on the phone and I didn't want to interrupt him. Anyhow, yeah... it's cool to see him around. As a side-note, he used to play at ToD back when it was Morgantown by Night (long before Sean and I played there), I think.

Earlier this week, I tried the 'Bourbon Chicken' sandwich at Subway. I just mention it here so I can warn folks that, well... it sucks. Big time. It's like a watered-down version of the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki.

Is anyone here a Windows Mobile handheld user? "Handheld Computing" magazine has been spontaneously canceled and they're finishing out my subscription with "Smartphone and Pocket PC," which is geared towards Windows Mobile devices. Seeing as how I don't own a Windows Mobile handheld and I'm certainly not going to go out of my way to buy one just to get some use out of the magazine, I'm gonna cancel the subscription. But before I do that, assuming I'm probably not going to get a refund on my remaining issues, I'm going to see if I can just have it transferred to someone who could use it.

This sucks, though... I've been a subscriber to "Handheld Computing" since back when it was "Tap." Oh well... not much I can do there.

Also, I hate the NSA. The concept of a government organization that doesn't actually have to answer to anyone in the government just freaks me out at best. But generally, I find it offensive.

Sigh... Oh well. Now I move from the disgusting to the merely ridiculous... apparently, not only is Mazda premiering a comic book series at San Diego Comicon this year, but there's also a Public Enemy comic. No, really. Seriously, go check, I'll wait.

See? I told you.




[0]-- The Blue Moose, not the Book n Bean; it would be cool to play there, but I'm the only person in the group who lives in Fairmont, and it's just not feasible to suggest dragging everyone back to Fairmont. Besides, the Blue Moose doesn't have as much of a crowd due to its inferiority and thus we wouldn't have to deal with the Book n Bean's Thursday crowd.
