Dec. 2nd, 2012 06:33 amBecause some people occasionally wonder how the writing's going, I thought I'd offer a bit of an update.
I've actually taken it kind of slow after getting my stuff done for RatW, partially because between the last-minute work sessions forced on me by RL drama (and the drama itself) I got myself slightly burned out on working on stuff. I've currently got a couple of unfinished stories, one I really need to get back to revising (I basically poke at that when I really want to work on something but can't settle on any one thing), and then I've got the novel I've been poking at for a while.
I've gotten more mileage on the novel done in the meantime than anything else and it's moving along at a tolerable enough pace. The other stuff I'm kind of stalled on, not sure where they're going at the moment. And on top of that I got a wild hair up my ass to work on something short and horror-y, mostly inspired by my recent read-through of The God-Machine Chronicle Anthology. I'm probably gonna just let the idea sit for now, though, rather than risk taking time away from any of the unfinished projects I currently have going.
In other, unrelated news, the L5R Winter Court forum RPG is starting up. It'll probably be in full swing by Monday but it's something I'm going to be working at for the next couple of months. And with City of Heroes gone, I'll probably have a little more energy to devote to it (not that I won't be playing any other MMOs, but, well... it'll be hard to put as much thought into them as I did into CoH, let's leave it at that) than I would have otherwise.
