Hm, something of an update...

As my roughly-3-person audience can attest, I've recently discussed possible acquisition of a webpage of my own (something I've been putting off a while). Something I'd discovered a while back and have been researching lately is the fact that the domain 'www.mythicfox.com' has been taken. I tracked down the email address of the person who has the domain, and emailed them about the domain.

Much to my surprise, she (I'm pretty sure it's female, based on her name) actually responded. About the same time I'd done some digging and found that a couple of years ago the site had been used for anime fanfic stuff by this person. Well, as it turns out, even though she hasn't used it for a couple of years she has the domain until the middle of December 2005. She asked if I'd like to make her an offer.

Now I'm just fishing for opinions... does anyone else think it'd be worth it? Through the domain service that Gushi uses to register domains, I can get one hell of a deal on mythicfox.us. Would having mythicfox.com instead really matter that much? Or am I just overanalyzing it?

or you could think of a different domain name to help really differentiate from mythicfox.com. like... name the web site as if you were opening your own bookstore or restaurant or something. o_o;

depends how much the cost diffrence is. mythicfox.com would be something nice to have, but it's not realy necisary. If you have the change to spare go for it.
