mythicfoxJust wanted to announce that. I'm really liking this browser, and wanna thank Stew for helping me finally get around to download it.
In other news, while I didn't get a whole lot of writing done at the Book n Bean tonight, I did get a good bit of story-editing. I'd recently been dealing with a dilemma in one of the stories I'm working on, and managed to solve it.
There's a weird guy who's been hanging out at the Book n Bean that I've been talking to. Interesting, but weird. One of the biggest conspiracy-theory nutjobs I've ever met. Once he and I were talking about government mind-control programs, and he brought up that Diana Ross was a member of the MK-Ultra project. He told me that he saw a Shoggoth once. That level of weird.
But he'd be a perfect non-computer-using Virtual Adept. And he's not even a roleplayer. He'd talked to me a bit about how he believes we live in a universe that's just a construct of information (and to his credit, not once did he say 'Matrix' during this discussion). But what solidified his place as an Adept tonight was when he was talking about playing chess, and his chess strategies are based off of some mathematical interpretation of the game that I admit I have a little bit of trouble following. He just says that he plays according to the mathematics of the game. Yup. Definitely a VA.
Also, I got a sweet new CD today... "Acoustic Live at the Book n Bean." A collection of music recorded by the regular musicians there. Now I need to buy some blank Minidiscs so I can take it with me wherever I go.
I also got the new Imperial Herald (the official L5R magazine). And while the promos in it are cool, why does one of them have to be Toku's Grave? I mean, why Toku? I mean, he's old, and he went into a battle he damn well knew he might not be coming back from... but still... Toku deserves to die a content man of old age. Between him and Ginawa's death, I think all of L5R's last classic sig characters are gone... oh well. I haven't gotten read the issue in-depth yet.
All in all, it was a pretty satisfactory evening. See you later, folks.
