Okay, here they go... no big intro or anything. But here it all is.

This was the week of the big BSD Hive raid. And, naturally, there were only three Changing Breeds present because nobody wanted their character to ever have to risk death. Or risk participation in plot. Fuckers.

So it was just my character, John's Get of Fenris, and Andy's Camazotz handling part of an attack on a BSD Hive. I was helping with the tactics, as the Garou ST apparently felt that the PC's should have more input with the whole thing. I dunno. I came up with a plan that was sound on paper, but since when has a PC's battle plan ever taken NPC's by surprise? At least we had a couple of NPC packs assisting with the battle.

So the three of us were sneaking in through the back of the building that the Hive was stationed in while two good-sized packs of Silver Fangs tried to lure BSD attention out the front. Of course, as it's a rule of RPG's that when the ST's know the rough battle plan, then PC's are going to die. And when there are NPC allies involved, then the ST's are going to have to know at least part of the plan.

So we were sneaking in and got ambushed by about 15 Black Spiral Dancers. The NPC Silver Fang packs came in at the same time from the other end, leaving us with a few BSD's attacking each of us, one of which summoning a bane for support. After trading some blows, the Camazotz had to get the hell out of there or die. Personally, I don't blame him.

The battle went on and we went in further, taking care of BSD's to the best of our ability and being gunned down by packs of BSD archers. I got knocked to Incapacitated and had to retreat. I was spending Willpower points to remain standing as I limped out of there in Hispo form. John's character, Steelhide, remained behind and was killed fighting the Spirals. I did an IC post about it later, which can be found here.

As Saturday LARPs tend to go, this one started off with a meeting in the pack haven. Well, actually, first it started off with a feeding scene. As Chaz wasn't here this past week, Wes was running the game and thus the feeding scenes. And since Wes was running the feeding scenes, two folks that I know of got attacked by werewolves (and sorry to those who read this journal and know the LARP of which I speak-- that means you, Doug-- but Wes really loves them werewolves). One of the other PC's got made into a BSD female's personal plaything and was given a fetish collar (Garou fetish, not BDSM fetish, but with BSD's it's a very fine line) he could never remove, and Legion got attacked by a trucker (that worked for Fenris Trucking and carried a huge hammer).

After we had our haven meeting (where we privately trashed the other packs for not having meetings of their own, heh), we went into town with Nim intent on challenging one of the Ventrue in the city to Monomacy. A few weeks ago, during a Game of Instinct, Freddie's soul was ripped from his body. While he was down, a Ventrue named Michael tried to feed off of him while Freddie watched. He actually failed a test to bite Freddie while he was down, and I figured that I'd let him slide just because of the embarassment. When I mentioned this to my pack, though, they'd become upset and so he'd have something to do Nim decided to challenge Michael to a duel of honor.

While we were discussing the terms of this duel, Michael made the mistake of accusing Legion of being a bunch of cowardly diablerists. After Krimson and Nim failed frenzy control checks, all hell broke loose for a few rounds before some folks were able to bring them out of it. Shortly after this, Theodore (Andy's Tzimisce PC) told us his tale of how he'd been made the personal plaything of a Black Spiral Dancer and wore a collar that would kill him if he tried to remove it and allowed her to summon him at any time. Krimson concluded that Theodore was a danger to the sect and should be staked until we could come up with something to do with him.

Theodore fought this, obviously, and wound up staked and stuffed in the trunk of a car. While we were sorting out what to do with him, we saw a couple of tractor trailers driving through the streets nearby. Tractor trailers with 'Fenris Trucking' on the sides. Yup. Those same ones.

We started working out plans for figuring out what to do when the Lupines inevitably started showing up. Krimson got the idea to take some of the local Cainites to Fairmont, have a shovel-whacking, and bring the new recruits back to Morgantown to use as cannon fodder. One of the best moments of the evening came when we were driving towards Fairmont, one of the Lupine trucks pulled up alongside us... the window was rolled down...

"Hey, man, where's the Spirals at?"

I'm not kidding, that's what he said. So we told him the truth; the Black Spiral Dancers are located at the Coliseum (the basketball stadium in Morgantown). They jumped the median and went back to Morgantown, as did we (However, we didn't go to the Coliseum. We left that to the Lupines. Personally, I'd had enough of BSD Hive raids at the Coliseum for the weekend.).

A little while after we got back, we found out that Theodore had been released from his bondage and unstaked for some reason. This makes Legion a little nervous; not that he'd been released from his fetish collar, but that someone had declared him to be safe enough to set loose. While we were milling about, a Cainite that we'd previously talked to about joining our pack came up to us to discuss the possibility of doing it that night (he was a new player, and it was his second week with the game). Having been warned of the risks of a Legion initiation, he jumped right in.

Essentially, Krimson was to attack him with Obtenebration tentacles and he was supposed to survive for 10 seconds (about three rounds). The guy was blasted into Torpor in the first two rounds, and none of us had pure enough blood to wake him up. We wound up having to call in a favor from the local Assamite Sorcerer to heal him enough that he could wake up without waiting for a month. After his restoration, we had a Fire Dance and went out to celebrate.

Each one of us tried to bring a mortal back to the haven (my chosen target had been previously Dominated by Krimson to 'leave' and so when he saw the rest of my pack he took off), but we wound up with just three. Wes was running the scene, so naturally all hell broke loose. Krimson's victim was loaded up on Ecstasy, and now so was he. The new guy, Jonny, wound up picking someone wasted on Speed, with predictable results. My turn came next. I could feed from either of the two that I knew were messed up, or the third mortal, who merely appeared drunk. So I went for the one who just appeared drunk.

To make a long story short (too late I know), I wound up failing a test to hold off addiction a little later, and now Freddie is addicted to Heroin. Just as a 1-point Flaw, but even still, it sucks. Doug's informed me that his PC, Shane Zantosa, might be able to help me with that problem. Which, of course, worries me. But I'll figure out something. Either way, a solution will probably involve buying off the Flaw and even then will have to wait until after next week because I don't want to have to wait another week to pay for Obfuscate 5.

It was a great game, overall. Which is weird. There have been other games that have neen more exciting, more suspenseful, that sort of thing... but every just clicked just right on Saturday. And it rocked. The fact that we got some old-school Legion-type action in didn't hurt much.

And that's it. I went to the Book n Bean last night after my 6-9 class and got some decent writing done, too. So things are pretty good with me. Catch you folks later.
