Feelin' good
Jul. 12th, 2004 12:01 amMan, out of nowhere the con's just picked up. I'm still in The Zoo, on the text terminals, and the past couple of hours have been pretty cool.
I met a Fur here, another kitsune, who was having problems with hooking up with his roommate and getting back to his house in time to grab some sleep. He and I talked for a bit, and I wound up helping him get home.
I mean, it wasn't much; I just helped his mother with directions to the hotel, and I stayed and talked with him to comfort him and make sure he felt okay until she showed up to pick him up. It was cool; I've got a warm feeling inside. I'll probably go into more detail about the story later.
Also, free food is being distributed to The Zoo from what was once the Supersponsor Lounge (where people who pay a shitload of money to get into the con get all sorts of benefits like better free food). I just finished downing a couple of root beer floats. But everybody's all revved up and having a great time-- which works for me, since I genuinely enjoy just being around folks having a good time.
Well, my roommate Villicent has just located a room party to haul myself off to. So I'll check in with everyone when I get home!
