I'm usually not one for big 'year in review' posts, normally. I don't really have one on deck, either; nothing really worth talking about or getting into here. So instead, I'm just going to continue a little annual tradition I've adopted: The Subject Line Meme.
Go through your Livejournal entries from the past year, and list the first line of the first post for each month (any comments of my own in italics, bigger stuff moved to footnotes):
January: One of my most dread fears has come to pass: my mother now owns a computer.
February: It's been so long since I've really had to worry about it, I'm actually pretty ambivalent on the Valentine's Day thing.
March: I'm usually pretty careful about jokes regarding certain sensitive topics, particularly domestic abuse.
April: Had kind of a nice, smooth casual day. Took my mom to dinner at Red Lobster, got some good writing in in the evening afterwards. Okay, so it's two sentences, but the first one shouldn't really count, so...
May: Warning, lyrics are not exactly work safe.
June: Holy hell, it feels like May went on for about 9 weeks or so for some reason.
July: Currently at the airport in Syracuse.
August: Just relaxing some at the moment, doing a bit of prep work for the Hunter game, and pondering a mystery of the universe: "Who is annoyed more by the 'Paul is dead' running joke, Beatles fans or non-Beatles fans?"
September: It's starting to cool down outside, rapidly getting close to Pants Weather (as opposed to Shorts Weather).
October: If you're working on a story and can't find a title, and this title is holding you back from posting the story online (or whatever), which is better: going with something appropriate but otherwise cliche or banging your head against a wall until the stars spell out something better?
November: A great many websites on the internet thrive on massive comment sections on articles and such.
December: I keep starting LJ posts in my head and never getting them to a point where they just don't seem worth the effort of posting.
