Random thought about the Walking Dead TV series

Y'know, sometimes I wonder what it says about television viewing audiences (or networks'/writers' opinions of them) that certain characters from the Walking Dead comic who are normally quite competent had to be rendered Too Dumb To Live to be considered acceptable for the TV adaptation.
