mythicfox | 2012 in review

First off, my traditional 'first sentence posted each month' thing I do every year:

January -- If I've been quiet it's simply because of the fact that I haven't had a heck of a lot to say for the most part.
February -- After my recent whiny bitch-fest regarding my writing, one thing I have decided to do is consolidate a few things and make some of my stuff a little more available.
March -- So, I've been meaning to do another couple of City of Heroes fanfics as I tend to do.
April -- So, not a whole lot going on on my end.
May -- This month has simultaneously crawled and flown by, it seems.
June -- My sense of time has really been skewed lately.
July -- So, I know that other than my usual Twitter-spam I've been quiet.
August -- For those of you who have missed it for whatever reason, next week from Wednesday to Sunday I'm going to be out of town, at Gencon in Indianapolis.
September -- A few of you have seen this but I thought I'd make it a little more widespread.
October -- So Halloween's coming up.
November -- First off, before I get to the meat of this post, I voted a little while ago.
December -- Because some people occasionally wonder how the writing's going, I thought I'd offer a bit of an update.

I'm going to keep this short and simple since I'm still out of town and don't have as much time as I could theoretically spend just sitting and poking at this. Also, it's a little later in the evening than I usually do these review posts and I'd like to get it done.

Despite being as miserable as I generally am, I have to admit that this was a much better year than 2011. I spent big chunks of it sorting out issues from my mom's passing but I've got almost all of it taken care of by now. Also, this year I got another opportunity to do some freelancing, which means I'll be a part of the Rage Across the World supplement. Despite having to struggle with some RL issues to get my work finished I'm pretty proud of what came out of it and I'm eagerly waiting for when the book actually comes out, which if everything's according to schedule should be soon enough. (but, y'know, never Soon Enough)

But I'm finally seeing some movement on the issues that have been holding me back emotionally and otherwise and in a pretty drastic change for me I'm actually pretty hopeful for the coming year.
